  • Increased Digital Presence: Developed unified CMS that generated over 800% increase in engagement time, a 2,000%+ increase in search impressions, a 10,000%+ increase in visitor page views, and top organic search ranking (60%+ of pages on the 1st SERP).
  • Built and Optimized Workflows: Developed and improved DevOps and DataOps pipelines, automating updates & deployment of load-balanced and redundant database clusters and application servers, and optimizing data processing, data migration, and data quality assurance, reducing runtime by over 90%. Reduced subsite launch time by 95% and hosting costs per subsite by 99%.

Application Support and Analytics

  • Analytics & Documentation: Developed KPI metrics and automated reports. Monitored, collected, analyzed and reported on systems, applications and service-related BI. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, UI help texts, technical design documents, risk assessments, business continuity plans, policies and procedures.
  • Tier 3 Support: Investigated, identified, and resolved complex non-routine IT issues, incidents, and problems that require in-depth knowledge and expertise to provide the highest level of support escalation, including on-call support, to ensure optimal continuous business operations and minimal downtime.
  • Training & Mentorship: Prepare and provide training sessions, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to staff, students and team members.

Software Development

  • Business Process & Technology Improvements: Identify and translate business needs into technical solutions (and RFPs) by designing, coding, verifying, automating, documenting, and refactoring complex applications, tools, systems, and services. Evaluate new and emerging technologies and adapted best-in-class processes and techniques that improve the development of scalable and maintainable long-term solutions.
  • Development: Manage the entire full-stack software development lifecycle, from design and coding to verification, testing, documentation, and refactoring of complex programs, scripts, and integration services (APIs).

Senior System Analyst | Data Scientist & DevOps Engineer at Exigen Services (currently Emergn)

  • Built Data Science Capabilities: Successfully spearheaded the expansion of data analytics services and established the data science team at Latvia's leading B2B IT company.
  • Conducted in-depth data exploration of ERP data warehouses and software systems (logs, system state and user interaction representations), built ETL pipelines and created data analytics & statistics reports. Built predictive machine learning models (RNN, LSTM, CNN, PCA, ...).
  • Reduced machine learning model training time by 90% by optimizing linear algebra operations and using parallel computing.
  • Created DevOps pipelines to cut costs (↓50%) and efficiently deploy CMS for a multi-site (20+) tourism company.

Acting Researcher | Teaching Assistant & Instructor | Electronics & Programming Engineer | Quantum Engineering & Scientific Computing at University of Latvia

  • Built novel state-of-art research methodologies: Modeled (simulated) stochastic processes of complex quantum systems, developed automated workflows for experimental data statistical analysis and built and verified analytical models of open quantum systems.
  • Automated Complex Research Tasks: Designed and developed automated tools and software applications for experimental setups from nanosecond precision control of proprietary experimental scientific apparatus to data capture and statistical analysis pipelines.
  • Research Management: Managed research projects, designed and built experimental setups, including, procured over €2M of research equipment, wrote grant reports, planned and executed research activities, trained visiting researchers and mentored students.
  • Conducted fundamental research and quantum engineering of supersonic molecular beams and developed methods of coherent quantum population control and transfer of sodium atoms to highly excited Rydberg states by coherent light-matter interactions.
  • Developed a new analytical model of spectral absorption profiles in supersonic beams, and published findings in Phys. Rev. A.
  • Developed automation software and tools for scientific computing and data analysis, developed CMS and maintained a laboratory website.
  • Built the first magneto-optical trap for laser cooling and trapping of Na atoms in Latvia, achieving temperatures lower than in a vacuum of space, repeating the work of 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics for the development of methods to laser cool and trap atoms.
  • I developed and delivered engaging lectures on laser physics, with a focus on quantum theory and laser applications, for the Fizi4019 - Lasers in Physics and Medicine course. I emphasized the connection between theoretical principles and practical laser applications to help students develop a strong understanding of fundamental quantum mechanics principles and laser application in research.
  • I served as a teaching assistant for the Fizi5012 - Atom, Molecular and Laser Physics Laboratory course, where I mentored students and provided hands-on experience during laser physics laboratory sessions. My responsibilities included overseeing experimental setups, ensuring a safe laboratory environment, troubleshooting equipment, and guiding students in interpreting and analyzing experimental results. Additionally, I demonstrated and explained fundamental quantum physics concepts through practical experiments. Through my guidance, students gained proficiency in using laboratory equipment, conducting experiments, and interpreting data to understand laser system behavior.
